2lines Privacy Policy
Effective date: 10 July 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how 2lines (“the app,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our iPhone app published by [Developer or Company Name].
2lines is designed to work locally on your device. It helps you review line visibility from photos using on-device image analysis. The app does not diagnose pregnancy or interpret medical test results.
Summary
- Photos and results stay on your device.
- Line visibility analysis runs locally on your iPhone.
- No account is required.
- We do not upload your photos or analysis results to our servers.
- We do not use third-party analytics or advertising in the app.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Information the app handles
The app may access and store the following information on your device:
- Photos you capture with the camera
- Photos you choose from your photo library
- Edited images created within the app
- Line-visibility analysis results generated on your device
- Optional notes you add to saved checks
- App preferences, such as whether onboarding has been completed
This information is used only to provide the app’s features, such as reviewing line visibility, saving a local history of checks, and letting you add private notes.
How your information is used
Photos are processed on your device to provide camera-assisted line visibility review. Saved photos, analysis results, and notes are stored only in the app’s local storage on your iPhone, including app-managed files and a local database.
The app does not:
- Create an account for you
- Upload your photos, notes, or analysis results to a server we operate
- Use third-party analytics services
- Display advertising
- Sell personal information
If you choose to save an edited image to your iPhone photo library, iOS stores that copy in Photos under the permission you grant. That copy is managed by iOS and is separate from data stored inside the app.
Device permissions
The app may request the following permissions:
- Camera: used only when you choose to capture a photo for local line visibility review.
- Photo Library access: used only when you choose an existing photo from your library or when you choose to save an edited image to Photos.
You can change or revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Some features may not work if the required permission is denied.
Data retention and deletion
Saved checks remain on your device until you delete them in the app or remove the app from your iPhone.
Deleting a saved check removes its app-managed photo, analysis, and note from the app. Copies that you explicitly saved to the system photo library must be deleted separately from the Photos app.
You can delete all saved checks from Settings within the app. Uninstalling the app removes app-managed local data stored by the app.
Internet and third-party services
Core app features, including photo capture, analysis, editing, and saved history, work without requiring you to sign in and without uploading your content to our servers.
The app includes an optional link that can open the Apple App Store to view a separate third-party pregnancy tracker app. If you use that link, you leave 2lines and Apple’s or the third party’s terms and privacy practices may apply.
Children’s privacy
The app is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Because your photos and results remain on your device, their security also depends on the security of your iPhone, including your passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, and device settings. We recommend keeping your device software up to date and using a strong device passcode.
International users
The app is available in English and Spanish based on your device language settings. Because the app processes and stores information locally on your device, your information generally does not leave your phone through the app’s core features.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and publish the revised policy at this URL.
